As we know, hobby groups are separated by members’ age. Young people have no borders, they don’t pretend to be serious and important, that’s why they can let themselves into cheap, funny, sometimes stupid activities. But aged men are forced by society to act differently. That’s why they like to spend time under big toys, like huge off-road cars or choppers, or supersports.

In Thailand big guys do styling of big motorcoaches. Of course, they do it in the best Asian traditions: bright colored, naive paintings on a body (ohh, my eyes!), various toys, lights, mirrors. Everything in big quantities. Look at the photos of an example we found near the Pattaya pier. It had:

Michelin men, carefully dressed in cowboy hats and scarfs

No-no-no, they aren’t aliens, they are Ultramen – very popular character of Japanese movie

Plenty of mirrors and blinkers. I’d say, too many…

Look at Asian traditional rattan and bamboo tableware tuk-tuks! My mistake is not accidental – both tuk-tuks made in technique of weaving, which usually Asian people use for furniture, tableware, mattings. But, here owners of tuk-tuks used it for tourists attraction, and I agree – it looks attractive, especially the first vehicle with a body weaved with colored stripes.

Thai craftsmans like to make toys and souvenirs from various trash: wires, cog wheels, coca-cola jars, corks from beer bottles. I found photos of a guy, whose hobby is modelling of motorcycles miniatures from parts of old empty lighters. It’s definitely a great idea, because a lighter provides many different parts good to construct something beautiful. Sorry for bad photos, I think, they were made by a mobile phone.

Unfortunately, most tunings of motorbikes are very common, because people use limited set factory produced parts. Fisrt 3-5 tuned motorcycles amaze you, next 10 glade you, then you become bored and don’t react to any new tunings.

Luckily, there are enthusiasts of tuning and styling who care about individualism of their motorcycles. I found a nice example of tuned Kawasaki KSR with completely unique parts.The owner of bike is เฮียน้ำ ป่ามป๊ามมมม from KSRThailand.com forum. Main theme of tuning – hi-tech, robots, sci-fi, that’s why the bike has many small decorative elements. The motorbike passed through several stages of tuning (on photos you can see bike in all stages) and now have naked-style.
