Number plates in Thailand is a special subject. Yesterday, when I was moving off supermarket parking, I suddenly noticed a strange number of one old Jaguar. It was the number 2! Of course, it isn’t the true second number given in Chiang Mai. Actually, it’s the number กพ 2 (ko pho 2), what means it’s the 30th car with the number 2
. But it’s a noticeable fact, still: if you like retro vehicles — you can be lucky to own a car with a short and beautiful number. Possibly, with a number กก 1 (ko ko 1) – truly first number
